生物如何演化去佔據地球上各式各樣的生態區位是相當有趣的問題。為了瞭解這個問題,我們對鳥類(和其他動物)的親緣地理學,適應性演化學,基因體學和行為生態學進行研究。因為鳥類演化出了一系列特殊的形態和行為特徵,所以我們選擇它們為研究對象。同時,誰能不對這些一窗之隔的繽紛飛羽多看一眼。
